“Apps for Good” is an independent charity whose purpose is to ensure all young people – especially those experiencing disadvantage – have the tech innovation skills to thrive in an ever-changing world. We share the charity's belief that young people can shape their future through technology. We don’t just teach our children to code – we teach the entrepreneurial skills they’ll need to become the tech innovators of tomorrow.

Our work with the Apps for Good Charity helps our children develop the essential skills needed for future work, improving young people’s confidence, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills. 

This work provides a platform for pupil's voice, with our children becoming empowered by solving problems they care about. We teach how technology can have a positive impact and support them to design relevant tech products that will change their world for the better.

Through this partnership, our students build their products using processes that are aligned with industry. We connect them to real-world professionals to support their product ideas by providing feedback and career insights.

We are proud that over the last 5 years we have entered many groups of children for the Apps for Good National Awards. Our children have all achieved very high standards when designing, creating and presenting various unique app ideas.

Three groups were awarded National recognition:

• "Destination 4 You" – The designing of an app to support adults with physical disabilities to independently travel across our Capital.
• "Right Music 4 You" – An app which supports children share memories with their Grandparents facing dementia, through special family songs. 
• Team UrAmigos - Supporting children
• who have recently arrived from abroad succeed and thrive in a school when returning to schools, following the COVID Pandemic, were English is the primary language spoken. 

One of our Groups won the "UK People's Choice Award." 

• "Languages 4 You" – An app designed to support children who have recently arrived from abroad succeed and thrive in a school where English is the primary language spoken.
